Saint-Léonard Neighbours' Day celebrations - 2023 edition

Saint-Léonard Neighbours' Day celebrations - 2023 edition

Banners flapped in the Saint-Léonard sky on June 3rd as the wind blew hard, but that didn't stop our neighborhood party from being an incredible success! Over 2,500 people took part in the many activities we had to offer.

Our inflatable game and pet farm were especially popular with the children. Their smiles and laughter echoed in the air, filling the atmosphere with  joy. The entertainment, music and dance performance by Le Petit Continental set everyone's hearts aflame, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The energy of our wonderful community made the event very lively and friendly. Popcorn and cotton candy added a touch of sweetness to the day, delighting the taste buds of young and old alike.

Stalls from local merchants and organizations brightened up the event. Sotra, Banco, Les Délices d'Aden, Mobile et Plus, Les Délices de Labiba, Rio jewelry, Aliments santé Naturasol, Marché Americas and Italia were all on site, offering a variety of unique experiences.

Many local organizations were also present, including the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), the Accueil aux immigrants de l'est de Montréal (AIEM), Concertation Saint-Léonard (CSL), the Comité promoteur du logement social (CPLS), Écoquartier Saint-Léonard, Action Dignité (ACTDIGSL), the Bureau associatif diversité réinsertion (BADR), the Learning Disabilities Association of Quebec (AQETA) and the Maison des jeunes de Saint-Léonard. Their participation strengthened community ties and highlighted the diverse social fabric of our neighborhood.

The 2023 edition of Saint-Léonard Neighbours' Day celebrations will remain etched in our memories. It was a day of fun, enriching encounters and celebration of our community. See you next year for the 3rd edition!
